Journal Entry 2

I'm sure I have gotten away with telling a lie, but I do not think I have gotten away with telling a big lie. I cannot really think of any examples to talk about, but I am sure I have gotten away with doing so before. Of all the, "big," lies I can recall, (mainly ones about hiding grades), I haven't gotten away with that before. I used to always check the mailbox as soon as possible, take my report card and stuff it somewhere that it would not be found. But usually it would by some freak accident, it was unbelievable. I learned that doing something like that is not wise because the punishment is much worse by putting off than it is just getting the whole ordeal over with at the beginning! I bet I've gotten away with small, "fibs," before. I consider fibs for example, to be something I'll say to my girlfriend just so she'll stop arguing with me, or something I will say to my parents so that they will get off my case! Who knows, maybe this whole journal is a lie? I guess thats for me to know, and you to maybe find out.

Journal Entry 1

I don't have the best memory. But one of the first vivid ones that I have is about when I won a prize. In the 5th grade, selected students received an award from the President for Academic Excellence. Well during 5th grade graduation, they announced who won. They said 5 kids received this award, but they hadn't notified the recipients ahead of time so it was a surprise. Well after the first couple of names they called, I was thinking, man there is no way I'll get this, then sure enough they called me. It was one of the few times I've felt so surprised and lucky. I still have the certificate and also a pin that came with it. It is signed by Bill Clinton and my principal, haha.
